The Ultimate Guide To Do My Winter Skincare Routine

Tips: To Help Transition Your Skin Routine To Winter

As temperatures nose-dive, that dewy soft skin all but disappears and the harsh winter weather seems to pledge war with your winter GLOW but MiRuCha is here.
Just in time, to set up the strongest winter skin care frontline you could ever have. Here are some tips to fight back against the parched, flaky, itchy skin.

Keep yourself Radiant. Keep the Glow!! Match the Beauty within with beautiful Skin- MiRuCha

1. Keep it cool.
We all crave that hot shower during winter, probably a respite from the hot weather but stick to warm or lukewarm water. Long exposure to hot water can strip moisture, hair and skin.

2. Exfoliate

Open up your pores, clear away dead skin cells and let your skin breath. How to do just that? EXFOLIATE! This will help moisturizer sink in, freshen it up and brighten its appearance. Use face scrubs. For your body use a scrub based body wash which Nivea and Dove provide. Or make your own from your own balance of rocky salt/sugar and olive oil, user after you have finished the whole soap stage. This solution helps exfoliates and moisturise your body all in one. Also using body stones and a body sponge can also work. Don’t forget Tap dry after your bath!

3. Go Natural

Make the switch! Skin is more sensitive in winter, and most products have harsh chemicals that will roughen up the skin more. 100 percent natural products live your skin feeling soft and smelling good. Try using coconut oil, honey, olive oil and aloe to soften your skin! Just like the D.I.Y  exfoliate, make your products and add them to your daily routine

4. Moisturize!!!!!

Oil-based moisturizers with vitamin C and E will keep your skin moist for longer periods of time than water-based moisturizers.  Did you know, you have a three-minute window for best results? Wait any longer and moisture starts to disappear from your skin before you can lock it in.  Always moisturise at night too with baby oil, tissue oil, olive oil, petroleum jelly (Vaseline) & as hard as it might be for some don’t forget to wear socks and pyjamas. Your body repairs itself at night and the items of clothing will help lock in the moisture while the oils sip into your skin. These oils can also be added to your daily body lotion. And don’t forget to add some SPF15. Believe it or not, that winter sun we love to bake in so much is way more harmful than any other time of the year.

5. Lip balm
Take care of your lips. Consistently exfoliate them and keep the lip balm on!  Take a clean toothbrush and very gently exfoliate the skin to remove excess skin, then, keep applying your lip balm throughout the day.

6. Cover up
Nobody wants dry cracked skin! When heading into the great outdoors, dress for the weather with a hat, scarf, and gloves to avoid windburn and prolonged exposure to cold air.

7. Stay hydrated.

Yes, you don’t feel thirsty, but your skin needs hydration just as it does in summer. It’s a good idea to drink plenty of water during winter. Dry Skin is a key indicator of dehydration, so get your H2O on before you crave it.
